2. Description of Service

TrustLayer provides an automated, multi-factor digital trust and investigation platform. The engine evaluates user-provided inputs (such as URLs, raw text, telephone numbers, crypto addresses, and transaction identifiers) against heuristic pattern detectors, threat intelligence indicators, and algorithmic scoring pipelines to generate probabilistic risk assessments.

  • Billing: Monthly recurring charges via Razorpay autopay.
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime; access continues until current billing period ends.
  • Refunds: No refunds for partial months; ₹2 authorization fee is non-refundable.

4. Usage Limits

  • Starter: 10 checks per 4-hour window.
  • Pro: Unlimited checks.
  • Family: Unlimited checks, up to 5 protected members.
  • Limits reset every 4 hours from your first check in each window.

5. Accuracy Disclaimer

  • Fact-check results are assessments based on available evidence, not legal or definitive determinations.
  • Plagiarism detection identifies textual similarity, not legal plagiarism.
  • Risk assessments are algorithmic evaluations, not guarantees of safety.
  • Users should independently verify critical information.

6. Autopay Authorization

  • By subscribing, you authorize TrustLayer to charge your payment method automatically.
  • Pre-debit notifications will be sent per RBI guidelines.
  • You may cancel autopay at any time from your account settings.

7. Essential Safety Disclaimers

Please read this section carefully before relying on any assessment:

  • Probabilistic Analysis, Not Absolute Guarantees: TrustLayer assessments reflect automated scoring of observed indicators. A "LOW RISK" verdict does not constitute a 100% guarantee of safety or legitimacy. Attackers continuously evolve techniques.
  • No Legal or Financial Advice: Reports, findings, and recommended actions generated by TrustLayer do not constitute legal counsel, banking guidance, or licensed fiduciary advice.
  • No Law Enforcement Authority: TrustLayer is an independent technical analysis tool. We have no law enforcement jurisdiction and cannot freeze bank accounts, reverse cryptocurrency transactions, or seize stolen assets.
  • Independent Verification Required: For financial transactions, large asset transfers, or sharing sensitive personal data, you must independently verify the counterparty through trusted official channels.

The Service is provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

8. Acceptable Use Guidelines

You agree to use TrustLayer strictly for personal defense, organizational threat validation, and lawful analysis. You agree NOT to:

  • Use TrustLayer to probe, reverse-engineer, or benchmark malware detection evasion for malicious actors.
  • Perform denial-of-service attacks, brute force queries, or bypass automated rate-limiting thresholds.
  • Submit classified governmental intelligence, non-consensual private intimate material, or unlawfully exfiltrated data.
  • Misrepresent TrustLayer verdicts to defraud, harass, or defame third parties.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, TrustLayer, its developers, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including loss of funds, financial fraud losses, data loss, or business interruption—arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

10. Modifications & Termination

We reserve the right to refine, modify, or update these terms and the underlying detection heuristics as threats evolve. Continued use of TrustLayer following any update constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
